Project Co-op
Project Co-op is a new youth-focused community service project that formed part of Youth Week 2010. The project was a collaboration between Presbyterian Support Northern and Auckland Presbytery. Youth groups from local churches worked in with the Family Works East Auckland project, an initiative that provides support to children and families who are facing challenges.
The project gave an opportunity for youth groups to impact the lives of those in need in our local communities. On Saturday 22 May, youth project teams from Kohimarama, St Johns, Meadowbank and Somervell Presbyterian churches were deployed into the community to provide practical assistance to people who would appreciate a helping hand. Projects included helping with house work, gardening, window washing and baking. Some of the highlights from the day are displayed below:
